Vacancies - September 2022

We are currently looking for a Drum Kit player - must have own kit and ideally have experience of reading music and playing in a conducted ensemble. Please contact us to arrange an informal chat with our Musical Director.

In addition, we are opening our doors to any players of concert band instruments!

We have parts for:

Flute & Piccolo

Oboe

Bassoon

Clarinets (Bb, Soprano, Bass)

Saxophones (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Baritone)

Cornet & Trumpet

Flugel Horn

French Horn

Euphonium & Baritone (treble and bass clef)

Tenor Trombone (treble and bass clef)

Bass Trombone (treble and bass clef)

Eb/Bb Bass (treble and bass clef)

String Bass

Percussion (Drum Kit, Timps, Mallet Percussion)

Capability within the band varies, although most parts require a minimum playing standard of around grade 4/5. All new members may try out the band for free for one month before deciding whether to join and there are no auditions to worry about. If you're a little rusty it's no problem, we pride ourselves on offering a friendly and supportive environment where you can regain your confidence.
